Ok I know that snow isnt a big deal for a lot of people...
But when you live 15min from the harbour at basically sea level...it's a big deal when it snows.
Check out these pics I took at school today.

The field behind the school, looking towards the river. |

The kids snowflakes on the windows and real snow outside on the playing field. |
|
Snow! Just before lunch... I of course let the kids run outside and play in it. |
All lunch time it snowed gently and then after lunch when all the kids were back in class it went crazy. When they went home the school was white.

The court beside my classroom. |
Our Parent Teacher interviews got cancelled, thank goodness, and we were told to go home, not to hang around school. I drove to mum and dads house and tried to get hold of Nick. He was supposed to finish work at 9pm...in Wellington . An hours bus ride away. I wanted him to come home so he didn't get stuck. He works right by the sea and didn't believe me it was crazy out this way.
He believed me as we got to Stokes Valley...the whole valley is white.

Good thing he came home. They've cancelled all the buses in the Wellington region due to ice and hazardous driving conditions. He's pretty happy with me now.
