New Years!

Well happy New Years Eve!

I plan on going to see the Hobbit tonight. It's our dorky New Year tradition.
As a younger teenager we ended up going to see The Fellowship of the Ring on a whim one New Years... We had really crappy seats, but we did go and see the movie in the cinema where the Hobbit and Return of the King premiers were held.
The next couple of New Years we watched the 2nd and 3rd movies.

So of course when the Hobbit came out so close to Christmas we knew what our New Years plans would be!

New Years nails need to be sparkly in my opinion... So here's what I'm sporting...

Not very hobbit like.

Hope everyone has a fab New Years Eve.

Naild' it: Christmas

My house has officially been de-christmased.

Unfortunately I just didn't have room to keep my beautiful tree up in my lounge... well I would have had room, except I'm on a bit of a de-cluttering and cleaning binge. Tree was clutter. And I needed the room for my exercise machine. Needs to lose weight...again lol. It's a never ending cycle.

If you want to join in and get fit/lose those Christmas/stress/I ate all the naughty food pounds... add me on My Fitness Pal. My name is Gimikd... that's original of me.

Anyway back to my original point.... My house is cleared of Christmas... but nails are not! Yes I'm still rocking as many Christmas/holiday polishes as possible.

Today I have the 2 Naild' It polishes I picked up from Llarowe.

No Elfing Way over Revlon Mint Gelato
As soon as I saw the first piccies of No Elfing Way I needed it. I had to have it. It didn't disappoint. this was one coat of glittery goodness.

Light Show
Light Show on the other hand was one that magically jumped into my cart. I hadn't predetermined to buy it... But I'm glad I did. it's so unusual. The neon and black in the light base. This was three coats.

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a fab Christmas. Here's my Christmas in pictures...

First up swatches!
these were my Christmas day nails.

And this is what I wore on my little toesies.
Pretty & Polished Happy Holo-days Duo
And here's the combined affect... my actual nails of the day, not swatches! I love that I got a little black heart on my pinkie.

And now my 3 Christmas's.

First off at our house in the morning...

My reluctant husband and I
My favourite sundress and my tree and me!
I love the blue glow of the lights
Then Christmas brunch with nicks family. my family all came as well, which was really awesome. I hate having to pick and choose who to spend Christmas with. So spending Christmas with everyone was awesome. Except for the heat. it was so darn hot. I don't do well in the heat.

Nick's parents tree. A real one!

Then in the afternoon we went back to my parents for Christmas dinner. The boys built their Lego (yes they are adults...I let nick buy as much Lego as he wants and he doesn't comment on my nail polish collection...or my shoes) and I finally started to feel comfortable thanks to the air con. Did I mention I don't do well in the heat?

Mum and dad's tree
Building Lego

Nom noms! That lamb was delicious.
We finally got home and I put away all my goodies and went to bed. Nick and David stayed up til what ever time black Black Ops... But I was content in my sleep.

And of course all my goodies. I was seriously spoilt.

Clothes, body lotion, clips, snow fairy and serving bowls from mum and dad. Yes I love wearing bright colours and have cardigan and hair clip obsessions. And I had so many serving platters but no bowls for when I have guests. I like all my serving ware to be white a square...so good work mum!

iPad mini... my new baby... my birthday and Christmas present from Nick.

Lime Crime polishes from Smokey. She's such a clever kitty! I love my Lime Crime rainbow.

iPad mini case and voucher from my darling brother.

Drink fountain (seriously this is freakin' awesome. I can't wait to have drinks at our place and use it for some alcoholic concoction), 2 OPI shatters and a chocolate and mug gift set from my Secret Santa.

Don't worry I spoilt everyone as well :)

China Glaze: Holiday Joy

It's 5am Christmas morning here, so of course I've been awake since 3.30am feeling
It's a long standing joke really, anytime there is something important I get sick. My birthday, Christmas, graduation... I think the worst was my 21st birthday. I was rather ill and everyone thought I'd just been drinking too much. I didn't have a drop of alcohol.

At least I'm getting all the Boxing Day sales emails. I've already done a lush order. 50% off... Yes please. I didn't buy any snow fairy before Christmas and Nick finished my bottle.

Anyway here's some more Christmas polishes. The China Glaze Holiday Joy collection, well my picks anyone... And yes I did just buy the glitters and shimmers.

Christmas Tree

Some Christmas Tree spam this afternoon!

I love my Christmas tree... Ok I may go a little over board on decorating it. There are around 300 ornaments on it.

These gorgeous ornaments were a gift from Lani. Aren't they the cutest?
My tree is rather Disney-fied. I'm sure you can tell from Tinkerbell on the top!

I may or may not have more Disney ornaments... but these ones are my favourites...this year!
