Color Club Holos

I climbed a mountain yesterday.

It is outdoor week this week at school. So not only am I still trying to finish report writing...I'm also physically exhausted. But really I did climb a mountain yesterday. We did a 3 hour hike, up a mountain, down a mountain, to a dam and then to a park. The pedometer on my phone says I did 18,000 steps.

Today is another big walking day. We are doing a photo scavenger hunt around the community.

With being outside all week and the gorgeous sun we are getting I'm very much so feeling holos.
I thought I'd pass on the new Color Club holos... you know wait for the China Glaze ones...
But I'm an addict. I'm so glad I bought them. They are amazing.

For some odd reason I didn't purchase Halo-graphic. Maybe if Santa is reading he could bring me one!

Anyway off to spend another day walking around in the sun.

We've had little Bumble Bee 2 weeks now, so I'll update with some pics of her in the weekend :)

All That Glitters: Dotties

I'm still hard at work getting reports done.

When I say reports I don't mean a single A4 page for each child. I mean around 25 A4 pages for each child, including full pages of text, photos, scans of work and graphs showing exactly where each child is at. It's a lot of work. Especially when you have 27 children to teach.

Our new kitty Bumble Bee has been with us a week now. She has a vet appointment this afternoon, just to have a check up. Did you know it costs more to take her to the vet than for me to see the doctor? Crazy.

Anyway on to polish! I have quite the indie polish obsession, especially glitter top coats. Of course I needed the Light and Dark Spotty Dotties from All That Glitters.

I love combining the two Spotty Dotties. they look amazing layered over each other. One of my favourite combos is wearing the two over a browny taupe.

And I better head to work now! children to teach and all... lets hope they are calmer than yesterday. they had a half day yesterday due to Teachers Union meetings and were high as kites.

Color Club: Port-folio, New Kitty and A Short Hiatus...

ARGH! It's that time of year for me... Reports. And in true me fashion I left everything to the last minute.
I have a week and a half to write everything and finish up the tests I need to.

So unfortunately I won't really be posting much for the next two weeks.

Although once I've finished my reports I have the Color Club holo's and Christmas polishes, China Glaze christmas collection, the floam polishes, a truckload of Darling Diva Polishes, some Orly Christmas polishes, the Esssence Breaking Dawn polishes and a bunch of indies.

I'll leave you now with some polish pics and the newest addition to my family...

Color Club Port-folio
Zomg, what can I say about this polish other than amazing! Port-folio is a stunning purple with a strong green shimmer, but the green shimmer isn't just green....it's duochromatic green. A truly stunning polish.

And as for the new member of our family...( I blame Lani at Lani Loves)

This is Bumble Bee. Yes, Nick and I have an awesome naming system...
My class think it's awesome I named a kitten after Transformers.

She is 8 weeks old and I picked her up last night. She spent last night and this morning being called Little One and Little Kitty. Nick and I couldn't quite decide on a name...
I liked Mina or Indie.... He liked Minerva. Seriously...for a tiny little kitten?

Lucky for little Bumble Bee we settled on a name and we plan to call her Bee or Bea.
She's an affectionate wee thing and is living in our spare room at the moment.Smokey is rather cross with me... But she's coming in to the house again now. So hopefully she'll adjust to sharing our attention quickly.

Pretty & Polished: Candy Corn and Phoenix

I'm supposed to be working. Typing up childrens stories...
But when the work I'm typing consists of the three little pigs stopping off for donuts before moving to Antarctica, one little pig gets eaten by the big bad polar bear...the other two celebrate? I'm pretty sure we had a class discussion about the fact there are no polar bears in Antarctica when we learnt about penguins... but hey, the big bad polar bear likes to eat pigs in Antarctica... should I even start on the fact the pig would be a pigsicle!

So you can understand why I need to take a break to post this stunning combo.

These gorgeous Pretty & Polished colour changers didn't get enough love. I love colour changing polishes! So I ordered the four available. I found all four were awesome. 2 coats was vibrant, 3 coats was perfect.

Candy Corn
Candy Corn is a vibrant orange that changes to a very bright yellow when warm. I'm lucky (in this case!) that the free edge of my nail is rather long compared to my nail bed...so I get this awesome gradient effect while my hands are warm. This was three coats of awesomness.

Candy Corn with one coat of Phoenix
Then I made Candy Corn even more awesome... I added one coat of Phoenix (one of my biggest polish leemings, but it's mine now). I mean seriously can polish get more awesome?

Ok back to typing up stories...
The next one is a gripping retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk and his cat called Raven...

Guy Fawkes

Just a quick post, I've been suffering a headache the last 2 days, so am rather tired and irritable at the moment.

I did want to show everyone some pics of the awesome night I had on Monday, Guy Fawkes night.

Fireworks! I didn't zoom on any of these pictures...that's how close we were to the fireworks. It was incredible.

And lastly... Wellington is gearing up for the Hobbit premier later this month... spot the Hobbit!

I'm still trying to get things ready for tonight, but it will be awesome.
A 3 hour casino cruise on the harbour...with a BBQ... while the Guy Fawkes fireworks display is on.
Awesome!

Just a quick post tonight.

I've spent all weekend getting ready for Nicks social club function (turns out we are catering...) and trying to make a dent in all the work I need to do for reports.

Todays polish is Candeo Joker....zomg this is one killer purple glitter.
