China Glaze: Electropop

I was having a bad day a couple of months ago and impulsively purchased the entire China Glaze Electropop collection. I thought I didn't need it, I already have the Up and Away collection from 2010... I mean really how many bright and pastel cremes do you need... Soon as the Electropop collection arrived I saw the errors of my ways. I most definitely need all the bright and pastel cremes I can get my hands on! And even better the Electropop collection came with a glitter top coat and 2 shimmers.

Dance Baby

Sweet Hook

Fuchsia Fanatic

Gothic Lolita

Kinetic Candy

Electric Beat

Make Some Noise

Gaga for Green

Sunshine Pop

Aquadelic

Techno over Aquadelic

Wicked Style
This is a very bright cheerful collection. I was surprised at how much I loved the polishes. Gothic Lolita has become my go to pedi colour... I've worn it four times now. Every time I take it off... nothing else compares and Gothic Lolita goes back on my toes!

In other news this collection has inspired my artistic nature... So I have a little bit of polish related art brewing... Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be able to reveal that!

Now I'm off to the Wellington Food Festival with mum.

  1. I absolutely LOVE this collection! I was hesitant at first too because I thought I had a lot of dupes, but I didn't! It's so bright and fun and Dance Baby is one of my all-time favorite pinks now!

    1. I know what you mean. Dance Baby is like nothing else in my collection...and a shade of pink I don't normally go for...but it's amazing and one of my favourites now.

  2. I felt the same way when Electropop came out - did not need it - had the UP and Away and other brights. But when I saw a few shades on blogs - then was in Sally's when the collection was dwindling to only a few shades, I looked at them for the first time in person and really knew they needed to come home with me. I think in part they hit so close to end of holiday, it seemed too early to even think of what I call spring/summer brights. I was not ready for that collection. China Glaze goofed in the release date of this collection I feel - it should have come out in March when folks are starting to think spring/summer coming. This collection got largely left behind in appreciation for some great shades in it. The only one I did not get is Make Some Noise. Every other one has a unique place in my collection. I held off on getting Sweet Hook the longest - sure I had many disappointments in the same shade from Essie. I finally bought SH and wow...what great coverage - no white chalky look at all. I got rid of 'those Essie' ones that had been disappointments to me in white chalky or uneven coverage. Sweet Hook is a dream to use and wear. I adore putting on top of SH both Essie Kisses & Bisses as well as using a topper of Revlon Grape Fizz from the first scented Revlon collection of micro glitters in sheer tint bases from summer 2011. But SH on it's own is lovely in my book too.
