RBL Haul Preview

I currently own 7 RBL polishes. As much as I'd love to own more, the shipping is just so darn expensive. It's the same or more than a whole bottle of polish...and RBL polishes are not so cheap.

I bought 3 polishes from the L'Oiseau de Feu collection last year. I ummed and ahhhed over buying two of the BIB polishes, but just couldn't justify the shipping for two polishes. Then I got that email saying the Vintage BIB polishes were available for pre-order. My self restraint went out the window.

Here are some quick skittles of the stunners I purchased.

Scrangie, Catherine, Catherine H and Anne

Ohhh yeah! Those are some sexy polishes. I actually wore those skittles for 2 days. I just loved seeing the pretty colours.

China Glaze: FYI

At some stage early last year a few of the OMG holo's began popping up on trade me.

I was lucky enough to really get obsessed with polish in 2010 and was able to stock up on some of the OMG holos before they vanished/started going for crazy prices. I found IDK, LOL, 2NITE, GR8 and TTYL on ebay for highly reasonable prices. $4 each and $6 for TTYL...yes please. I was rather lucky. I thought I'd be happy if I managed to get 6 of the collection. So when I saw L8R G8R and FYI on trade me I only bought L8R G8R. I have always regretted not buying FYI.

So I took the plunge and paid an inflated price on ebay and now I own FYI and have no regrets.

FYI
I was totally right. I needed FYI. Look at the crazy holo? FYI has one of the craziest holo effects of the polishes I own from the collection. I love the neutral holo tone. It's a rather silvery neutral and I actually really love the polish by itself...but holo!!! I love the holo.

Revlon: Scented

Argh these pictures are terrible, but they'll have to do today. I cannot be bothered re-swatching all of these. Yup, lazy... and the sun isn't n my side lately. It's summer, it's warm, but there's no sun.

Anyway today I have the Revlon Scented polishes that were realeased last year. You know, I'm actually not sure what the collection was actually called. All the polishes have Fizz in the name.... All the polishes are fruit scents and rather sheer glass flecks.

Watermelon Fiz

Orange Fizz

Pineapple Fizz

Appletini Fizz

Colada Fizz

Mint Fizz

Grape Fizz

Grapefruit Fizz
I used 3-4 coats on each of these swatches and omg they are sheer. That's ok though because they look pretty awesome layered. I tried Watermelon Fizz over a dark blue the other day. It looked pretty cool to be honest. Due to lack of sun I have no picture...but honest it was cool.

Colada Fizz is a good one for layering, it just adds a glass fleck to any polish and a yummy pinacolada scent.

Funky Fingers Fun

Argh. Bad blogger! I have hardly posted so far this year.

I keep meaning to sort out some Christmas and New Years pics to throw up on here... I even made a folder 'good christmas'. You know so I can get rid of the bad Christmas pics.

Anyway today enjoy some Funky Fingers spammage.

Baby, baby, baby... If you want a dupe look towards Color Club  Beyond the  Mistletoe

Sand and Stilettoes...Color Club dupe is Sugar Plum Fairy

Under the Mistletoe

Mani Flamingo

Golden Coast....Color Club dupe is Gingerbread

Tortuga...Color Club dupe is The Lime Starts Here. They are both scented.

Funky Fingers are funky...but in all honesty I love the Color Club bottle so much more. So if it has a Color Club dupe, I'd rather the Color Club.

Maybelline Spam

Argh. I was having such an awesome day of doing nothing.
Walked to the supermarket, started drinking, took down the Christmas Tree and was ready to start watching Cowboys vs Aliens...I mean come on, I just want to watch that for the title alone.

Then my brother turned up, no text, nothing... now the boys are playing xbox... ARGH. It's ok though he's on on holiday until the end of the week and then he's back off to Waiouru. I would just love some time alone, he's been over most days since Christmas.

Anyway some Maybelline spam today.

I love some of these polishes and I'm not so keen on others. I absolutely hate the Maybelline brush though.

Grand in Green
Very greyed out green. A slight shimmer. it's unique to my stash...but not really me?

Charming Cobalt
Blackened base with plenty of blue shimmer. Pretty but rather dark...It's summer time. Maybe I'll feel differently about it in winter when I'm craving some darker tones.

Papaya Punch
Pink, shimmer, standard for summer to be honest. Nothing really that unique or special and it's pretty darn sheer.

Banana Bamba
I know a lot of people kinda hate this polish, but I love it. Yeah it's a little tricky but then all yellows tend to be. Sure it's got a weird texture...but nothing a top coat can't fix. To be honest I actually really like this shade of yellow on me. I also love the name.

Chic Chocolate
I actually really love these blackened basses with red shimmer in them. I just don't like them on me. they look awesome on mum though. I'm not sure where the chocolate comes from...?

Ok...so there was only one polish I loved out of that bunch...I'm sure I'd love the others if I was actually into dark polishes.

And now I'm off to read in my room until Nick decides he wants food. I only have food for two people, not three, so hopefully he mans up soon.

Last Years Resolutions

1. Start exercising properly again.

Ha. Well that lasted a few months then I started emotionally eating and weigh the most I have ever ever weighed ever. Guess that goes back on the list for 2012 resolutions. But yeah this time I'm serious...honest.

2. Save money for our wedding.

Done and dusted.

3. Pay off more of my credit card.

I paid it off...then I spent it all again... So maybe I should keep that resolution lol. Actually maybe I should make it 'pay off my credit card and then cancel it'.

4. Stop buying things I don't need!

Yeah...well that failed. I'm just super awesome at shopping. It's my secret super hero power...honest!

5. Make a vege garden and grow some delicious vegetables.

Tried that. The strawberries are feeding the birds nicely. I really should have put a net over them . The lettuces grow well, but they had spiders, so I didn't eat many. The spiders creeped my out.

So how'd you guys do with resolutions...as bad as me?

Best of 2011...part two.

Worst. New. Years. Ever.

I may be being over dramatic. But I did not buy another TV so Nick and my brother could play Xbox on both of them. I bought it so I could watch TV when the angry shooting noises coming from the lounge got too much. New years isn't a big deal to me, but couldn't they have done it another night. New years isn't high on my holiday celebrations list because I love Christmas so much and New Years just seems like the end of Christmas to me. I do how ever love New Years day...yeah I'm an odd one

Anyway it's still only 10:00pm. There's still time...? Hahaha who am I kidding.

Smokey is watching you... I don't think she's too impressed with the boys gaming either.

And now what I actually planned to post...my favourite glitters and cremes off 2011.

Color Club Space Case
Space Case came out with the Starry Temptress collection. A neon, with shimmer and glitter? Sounds awesome? It is awesome!

Revlon Starry Pink
Starry Pink is such a pretty delicate pink with silver glitter. Girly and full of glitter whilst still being rather demure. I think I like it best layered over aEngland Iseult.

Cult Captivated
Cult Nails has produced some awesome polishes this year. Captivated is a gorgeous coral jelly filled with shimmer gold glitter. Amazing on the nails and I do love a good coral!

China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara
I actually haven't posted pictures of the China Glaze Eye Candy collection, but I have been wearing them. In fact two have made my top 20 list. Lorelei's Tiara was always going to be one I'd fall in love with. Silver glitter and blue glitter and so darn sparkly.

China Glaze Some Like it Haute
Some like it Haute is the other Eye Candy polish to make my list. I know it's one of those duped polishes, but this is the only version I'll be getting my hands on. I love the charcoal glitter and the holo glints that sparkle like crazy.

OPI Excuse Moi!
Excuse Moi is just plain awesome. Predominately pink but filled with rainbow glitter. Awesome! If I keep wearing this once a week like I've been doing I'm going to need a new bottle fast.

OPI Spark de Triomphe
Sparke de Triomphe is one of those amazing glitters that have the same colour but different sized particles of glitter in them. What makes it stand out even more is that it's not silver, it's more of a white gold... Argh. I can't explain the colour but it's awesome.

Zoya Jana
Jana is one of my favourite neutral polishes to wear. Neutral yet a bit edgy. Jana also looks fantastic with OPI Movin' Out on top.

aEngland Galahad
I love love love Turquoise/teal/aqua and any shade of blue/green or green/blue so Galahad had to make my list. Amazingly creamy formulae as well.

China Glaze Near Dark
Near Dark is a surprise love this year. Normally I haven't been so into dark colours, but I find Near Dark is the perfect dark polish for me to wear. You might not be able to tell but it looks awesome with my skin and matches most of my autumn/winter clothing.

Deborah Lippmann Naked
Naked s my favourite nude of the year. Anytime I can't decide on a colour or I need to keep a polish on longer than 2 days I turn to Naked. Before my wedding I wore Naked non-stop. It's the perfect nude. It's the perfect base for glitters. Naked is just perfect on me.

And those conclude my top 20 polishes for 2011. I hope everyone had a fabulous 2011 and is looking forward to an even better 2012. I know I am!
