NYX Round Lipsticks: The Pinks

One of the colours I wear most is pink, so it makes sense that the lipstick colour  I own the most of is pink. Yes I'm a girly girl.

I really love all these colours. Spell Bound wasn't what I expected, but I still really like it. Tea Rose is probably my favourite. It actually looks quite pink on me.

Tea Rose: Gorgeous pinky colour. My favourite of this group. It can go with just about anything. I wore this out as soon as I got it.

Fig: A bit brighter than Tea Rose. I havent actually worn this out yet. A nice pink wih a smidgeon of coral mixed in to warm it up.

Doll: A nice rosey darker pink. Unfortunately my mum stole this one rather quickly. I doubt I'll see it again!

Spell Bound: I expected a dark rosey colour, and Spell Bound is bright pink. It's comparable to Louisiana, but warmer. In my opinion. It actually suits my, I just have to get used to bright lips.

NYX Round Lipsticks: The Mauves

Mauve is a colour I'm normally drawn to. Its pretty, its natural looking and it suits most people.
I've normally stuck to one shade, so I'm branching out with lighter and darker.

My favourite is Heather. IT's the perfect shade for any occasion. Lala on the other hand...well I'm not a purple person!

Thalia: Not quite what I was expecting. So many people rave about Thalia. I'm not sure what I expected, but it wasnt this colour. I do like the colour, it's just a tad milky?

B52: Gorgeous neutral shade. I think this is what I was expecting from Thalia.

Heather: Such a gorgeous colour. I almost didnt keep it. I thought I had Thalia and B52 I didnt need another similiar colour. How wrong was I. I needed Heather. Its so different from Thalia and B52. It's perfect for me.

Lala: Can you say purple? Lala is so purple on me. It pales me out and gives me a goth look. Its such a nice colour, but way too dark and cold for me.

NYX Round Lipsticks: The Nudes

I've never tried the nude lip, so when I purchased my stash of NYX Round Lipsticks I made sure there were some nudes to play with.

Iris, Circe and Pumpkin Pie.

To start with my favourite was Pumpkin Pie and I hated Circe...but I've been finding I grab for Iris most frequently and Circe's growing on me.

Iris: Such a pretty soft nude. I love the name, goddess of rainbows, very fitting for this shimmery reflective colour. I wear Iris quite frequently and seem to love it more each time.

Circe: Not quite the right nude for me. My lips are very pink and this just has that concealer effect.If I wear it lightly I can pull it off, but it's not a go to for me.

Pumpkin Pie: I do like this colour. It's pretty, warm and seems to have a glow to it. I just find it hard to apply. Even using a primer and lip balm it still seems to come out patchy. It also seems more sheer on my lips than I want it to. That may just be because my lips are so pink! I still like this colour but I'm a little scared to wear it! I don't want patchy lips.

NYX Round Lipsticks: The Reds

I'm not a red person. I don't wear red lipstick.
It makes me look terrifyingly pale.

Though I seem to have purchased quite a few red colours from the NYX Round Lipsticks.

Originally I thought I would pass on Nyx, Femme and Black Cherry...but I couldnt resist trying them out eventually! My favourites are margarita and twist. Snow White pales me out completly, Black Cherry makes me look goth. Electra how ever seems to work on me.

Margarita: My favourite. A lovely wearable coral/red. Yes it's shimmery, but I like that.

Twist: Another very wearable colour. Red with a gold shimmer. Yes it is shimmery, but hey I like the shimmer. It's pretty and delicate.

Femme: I was so sure this would look hideous on me. Its such a bright colour in the tube. I couldnt resist the temptation to try it though, and to my suprise I like it. Yes it's very bright, but it works.

Nyx: How can you not buy the lipstick named after the entire range? I'm not sure a goddess of the night would be so into orange, but it's a fun colour to play with. Orange tones seem to work on me, it must be the blue eyes thing!

Electra: So I wont actually wear this often. Its a true RED RED RED. Very bright and very red. It doesn't make me look scarily pale though!

Black Cherry: Wow, this is so dark on me. Luckily it looks very nice on mum!

Over the last month I've collected several, well quite a few, of the NYX round lipsticks.

They are inexpensive, creamy, come in 144 colours and are fantastic value for money.
Even when you need to buy them from overseas and pay for shipping.

The only downside is that it's so hard to choose colours! The swatches on NYX and Cherry Culture don't help either. It's best to google colours you might be interested in before buying.

I'm happy with the colours I chose. There are only a few I wouldn't really wear.

Reds: Margarita, Femme, Twist, Nyx, Electra, Snow White and Black Cherry

NYX Haul

So I weakened, I gave in, I had to try some different NYX products.

I decided to order from Cherry Culture.

I ordered alot. I ordered extra so I could make up for my spending by selling the extras.
NYX is not readily avaliable in NZ, so I thought I'd share the love!

It took 2 weeks for my parcel to arrive at my door. It was a very exciting day when it arrived!
