China Glaze: Prismatic

I wasn't sure if i truely needed to buy the China Glaze Prismatic polishes. I know a lot of people in nail polish land seemed to think they were a bit of a let down... well when something is described as holographic, you kind of expect it to be. Sadly these polishes were not the reincarnated OMG or Kaleidoscope collections. Instead they were pretty duochromatic confetti glitters.

I decided on four polishes to buy from this collection.

Ray-diant

Optical Illusion

Full Spectrum

Liquid Crystal
In all honesty these are some pretty polishes, but I think the only one I love love love is Liquid Crystal. I could live with out the other three. In fact i don't think I've worn them yet... Maybe I'll rock them on my nails this spring when the weather starts getting warmer and I feel like sparkly pastel glitters.  I have worn Liquid crystal and it looked awesome. I kept checking my nails to see the confetti of colours in the glitter and the duo chrome action. Not a good combo when you're driving...

China Glaze: On Safari

I only picked up three of the new China Glaze On Safari polishes... I wanted more... but I was good I only picked up three.

Exotic Encounters
Exotic Encounters is the perfect green tone for me. I wear a lot of dusky colours with heavy blue tones. True greens are not really my colour at all. I struggled to find something green green to wear for St Patrick's day. Exotic Encounters is a dusky greyed out colour and is a blue green... score! Also I have nothing else like it and it's perfect in two coats.

I'm Not Lion
Well my darling is a Leo and rater likes lions...especially on crests. So I had to pick up I'm not Lion. I ended up using two coats here. Unfortunately my picture doesn't capture the yummy holo goodness. I was actually really surprised when I got my bottle to see just how holo it was.

I Herd That
And lastely I Herd That. I was expecting I Herd That to be the orangey version of I'm Not Lion. It's not. I Herd That doesn't have the same amount of holo. It's made up of copper and orange toned glitters. Very pretty and perfect in two coats again.

China Glaze: Summer Neons

I love colour...especially bright colours. So what could be better than neon!

Neon polish seems to be a standard release for summer in The States but there's just something about having insanely bright nails in the middle of winter here!

I managed to narrow down my "need it's" from the china Glaze Summer Neon collection to six stunningly bright polishes. I want the rest. But I am totally being good and resisting the urge to buy the rest... I want my helmers.

Orange You Hot?

I'm With the Lifeguard

Love's a Beach

Pink Plumeria

Sun-kissed

Surfin' for Boys
These six polishes are the best neons I have ever used. Normally when I use a neon I'm left with visible nail line no matter what I do (well unless I underwear it). These polishes are all shown at 3 coats. Yes I have a little bit of vnl with some shades, but these polishes are totally wearable with out a white base! And zomg shimmer....drool!

Nail Trends I've Been Rocking

Lately I keep reaching for the same kinds of polish. So today I thought I'd show everyone the polishes I've been wearing lately.

Neon Pinks. There is just something cheery about a neon pink mani. Even on cloudy days when I have too much work to do and not enough time to do it in. Neon pink always gives me pick me up.

Color Club Modern Pink

CG Love's a Beach

Color Club Peppermint Twist

China Glaze Pink Plumeria

Yellows. I've only recent jumped on club yellow and I'm loving yellows. Yellow is another cheery mani. You can't help but smile a little when you have bright yellow nails.

Dollish Polish Skeet, Skeet, Skeet

Cult Feel Me Up

Color Club Almost Famous

China Glaze Sun-kissed

China Glaze Sunshine Pop

Foils. Omg I am loving foils at the moment. Especially in pinks and blues. Gorgeous jewel tones or icey cold foils....nom!

Color Club Hot Like Lava

Color Club Foil Me Once

Color Club Lumin-icecent

OPI Swimsuit...Nailed it!

Dreamy Glitters. Ok so it's winter here... but i'm dreaming of spring and there are so many pretty girly glitters around at the moment. I just feel like a peincess when my nails are topped with pretty pastel glitters.

Girly Bits Hippity Hop

Girly Bits Mother May I?

Pahlish Total Eclipse of the Heart

Lush Lacquer Once Upon a Time

Lush Flippin' Out over CG Sweet Hook
Some of these polishes i haven't actually featured on my blog yet... they will be coming in the next month or so. This week i have a mass of China Glaze posts planned. Be prepared to see my picks from the Summer Neons, Prismatics, Hunger Game, On Safari and a flash back of the Rodeo Diva collection. I also have a ZOMG HOLY MOLY Lush Lacquer spam post coming up.

Nerdlacquer: Some Spam

I've noticed the latest thing in nail polish land is 'No Buy July'. Unfortunately for me my darling hubby caught on to the amount of blog posts I was reading entitled 'no buy' and rather unsubtly hinted that I should do it.

In good news if I can manage the month I'm allowed to order 2 helmers... That's a big deal for New Zealand. We don't have a real IKEA and a helmer can go for almost $200 (or more, I researched this). I hacked the internet though and found 2 for $280, including shipping.

I'll have to ask him if 'no buy' means just nail polish... I'm super awesome at online shopping.

Anyway here are some polishes i never got a round to showing... Nerd Lacquer is unavailable so you more than likely won't be able to track these down... so I won't ruin anybodies no buy!
