Essie: Go Overboard

I love mini collections. I can buy the whole set with no feelings of guilt.

It's even better when I'm completely in love with all the colours in the collection. Essie Go Overboard is one mini collection I was drooling over and when I got the polishes I was even more in love. I'd been searching for that perfect dark but not too dark teal and I finally have it. Thanks Essie!

Play Date

Go Overboard

Armed and Ready
I can't even pick my favourite out of these three gorgeous polishes. I'm in love with Play Date, it's such a fun playful purple and so apply named. Go overboard is the dark teal I've been longing for. Armed and Ready is just stunning. I'm really digging these olive tones especially with generous helpings of gold shimmer! Drool!

Color Club Magnetic Force

I've been having bad luck with my nails lately. At least the nails on my swatching hand anyway!
Broke my pinky... broke my ring finger... I'm still trying to pretend my ring finger isn't broken. I've been taping it. It's broken half way across though, so I doubt I'll be able to pretend much longer.

It's a shame, I have so many awesome polishes to swatch. I'll have to take some haul pics of everything I can't swatch. Luckily I have a stash of photos I haven't posted yet, so I still have enough to keep my blog running.

One of the awesome collections I have but can't swatch at the moment is the Color Club Magnetic Force collection. I have to show everyone these polishes. If you're anything like me, you saw the promo pics and thought boring! The colours looked blah and rather ugly. I ordered 5 of them anyway. I just didn't order the grey/black. To be honest I'm so glad I ordered them...they are stunning. Especially the green Sci-Fi which just looked ugly to me in the promo pics.

Thumb to pinky: Magnetic Force, Electro-Midnight, Hipnotic, Sci-Fi and Cop an Attitude.
Magnetic Force, Cop an Attitude, Hipntic, Electro-Midnight and Sci-Fi.

Sci-Fi, Electro-Midnight, Hipnotic, Cop an Attitude and Magnetic Force.
You can't see but Sci-Fi has an amazing gold glittery shimmer in it. I'm honestly impressed with these polishes. They are so much prettier than I expected and really easy to use. I just wish I could get decent swatches of them! Argh. Bet by the time my nails grow out the sun will be gone.

St Patricks Day Mani

A little late...

But here's my green nails for St Patricks!

Orly Fresh and Here Comes Trouble
A nice blingtastic mani to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland.

OPI: San Remo Rouge

I hope everyone had a fab St Patricks day!

We had drinks at our place on the Friday night. I'm finally back in the land of the living today. Never drinking again. Although the sudden weightloss was kinda awesome. I'm looking forward to being able to eat real food today though...not just Fruju grapefruit ice blocks... Yeah when I'm sick/hungover I crave bitter tasting things.

Anyway hopefully I'll get a pic of my St Patricks nails up later today. I also have some Color Club Magnetic Force pics I'd like to get up.

Until then here's an older OPI that I absolutely love. San Remo Rouge.

OPI San Remo Rouge
I just love coral pink tones. They scream summer to me.

I found San Remo Rouge on ebay. It was $6, so not terribly expensive :)

OPI: Coral Reef

Argh! I've been such a bad blogger lately. My lame excuse is that I've been busy sorting photos. I seem to have accumulated somewhere near a billion swatch pics and have been endeavouring to sort them.

I've also been working hard at losing a little weight. Ideally I'm keen to lose 30 pounds. I've been using the elliptical and trying to 30 Day Shred everyday. So far this week I've achieved that 4 out of 5 days. Not too bad. I've been trying to eat healthy and been logging my daily food and exercise at www.myfitnesspal.com.

Today I have an OPI beauty to show you. The good thing about sorting through my photos is that I've found some amazing polishes that slipped through the gaps and never made it on to my blog. Coral Reef is one of them.

Coral Reef is a gorgeous coral holographic polish. It made its appearance back in the 2003 Summer for Shore collection. I currently have Blue Moon Lagoon, Crim-Sun and Coral Reef from that awesome collection of holo's. Mmmmm....holo goodness!

OPI Coral Reef
Look at that delicious holo in the bottle. I realise my pics don't capture a lot of the holo on the nail, my camera freaked out a tad. Coral Reef was on the thin side and this was 3 coats.

I love a good coral polish, especially one with some holo!

Missha

At some point last year Missha polishes were getting a lot of hype in Nail Polish Land.

I found a couple I thought looked awesome on ebay and decided to try them out.

I love the bottles. They are the cutest things ever. They are in the shape of an abstract heart and absolutely adorable. The polish has a very pretty rose scent to it, which I think is awesome. It's such a girly cute polish.

I bought a black with holo glittters and the green duo chrome. In all honesty I can't remember the names of these polishes...they subscribe to the name our polish with numbers school of thought... I'm useless with numbers! There is no way I'm remembering that.

Missha Black with holo glitter
The black disappointed me. It looks amazing in the bottle and after one coat was basically opaque... but the opaqueness ruins the holo. I hoped for a better version of BYS Down the Rabbit Hole, unfortunately it wasn't. I'm not going to be parting with this polish but it didn't live up to my expectations for it.

Missha Duo Chrome Green
This is the gorgeous duo chrome green that got all the hype. Yes it's a very pretty polish and I think it looks stunning on... But the brushes on these polishes are humongous and I found it very difficult to get this polish to look neat and tidy and not full of brush strokes. I think I managed in the end... but a smaller brush would have suited my nails much better!

Both polishes are very pretty and I will be keeping them...maybe it's just for the insanely cute bottles...

I won't be buying anymore Missha polishes, but I'm happy to add these 2 to my collection.

Glitter Gal: Holo Spam

Today has been sunny!

Although it's summer here right now sunshine has been pretty rare. the odd day we've had sunshine the weathers done a 180 and started raining! Yeah some days our weather can be crazy.

I've had a few holos waiting to get swatched, so I was able to get that done today (and half the OPI Holland collection). OMG i love the Holland collection.

Anyway here's some awesome Glitter Gal polishes. Enjoy the holo sparkles!

Light As A Feather

Marine Blue

Lizard Belly
Glitter Gal polishes are insane. Amazing quality and pretty holo sparkles.

I swatched 10 to Midnight today...and yes it's just as insanely gorgeous! Hopefully those pics will make their way on to here in the next few weeks.

I'm still working on setting up some scheduled posts to try and keep on top of blogging and work at the moment. Darn that start of the year testing taking so much time to mark!
