Darling Diva: Spam!

I have said so many times before that I'm in love with everything Darling Diva Polish. I love the wide array of polishes that are available, I love the reasonable shipping prices, I love the very reasonable prices on the polishes, but by far my favourite thing about the brand is the 5 for $25 lucky dips! It's like playing polish roulette...and every outcome is amazing.

Today's post is going to be Darling Diva Polish overload....
So sit back, relax and enjoy the pretty pictures.

Bonnie Lassi over CG Highlight of My Summer
Tiny Bubbles over CG Bahamian Blue
Ermehgerd over blue and pink
Nice List over OPI Strawberry Margarita

Booty Call
Dreamsicle
Pendragon over Pahlish Singing in the Garden
G-Spot
Wicked Attraction over OPI I Vant To Bite your Neck

The Hot Chik over LA Girl Idol
Wild Child over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls
All bar three of these polishes were 'lucky dips'. I specifically ordered The Hot Chick, Wild Child and G-Spot. The rest were just pleasant surprises!

Dandy Nails: A Touch of Spam!

The holidays are almost over, and of course I haven't done nearly as much as I planned!
My house has been spring cleaned (yay for cleaning), my reports haven't been started, I didn't get to do many swatches (boo rainy days), and my healthy eating exercise programme never took off...

It's been cold and wet and miserable... Not the time to be eating salad!

Anyway, today I have some gorgeous polishes from Dandy Nails to show you!
I remember seeing swatches of Dandy Nails and drooling. I wanted all of the polishes, especially for my  favourite  songs, but alas...no shipping to NZ at the time.
Luckily for me I was able to order a few from ninja polish.

Dandy Nails Cashmere Night

Cashmere Nights is absolutely stunning. It's a matte with so mush happening. Look at those tiny flecks of blue and pink. Of course it looks amazing with a top coat as well. 2 coats.

 Dandy Nails Chilled Down

Chilled down is an off white with gold and blue. Perfect for winter. This was 3 coats.

Dandy Nails A Piece of Youth

A Piece of Youth had to be mine! I love bluey greeny colors, teal, turquoise, aqua... Favourite colours! A Piece of Youth also has gorgeous yellow glitters. Pretty unique in my collection. This was 3 coats.

Dandy Nails It Started Out With a Kiss

It Started Out With A Kiss is so delicate and pretty. A sprinkling of baby blue and pink glitters in a sheer pink, shimmery base. If I was getting married again (totally happening when I win lotto at Disney land...) I would probably wear this polish.

Darling Diva: Will O The Wisp

Long time no post.

Life got in the way of the internets!
We had ERO at school (education review) and we've had interviews. The last 9 weeks of term were a series of testing, marking, re-testing, paper work, preparation for ERO...oh and of course teaching!

Unfortunately that meat my poor blog suffered.

Thankfully we're on holiday now. Next term will be a crazy term of madness (more testing, outdoor week, end of year reporting and of course Christmas), but I do have a nice stash of photos ready to go, so here's hoping for consistent posting!

Anyway, on to polish!

I'm in love with Darling Diva Polishes. Every time there's a sale I pick up a couple that I'm drooling over and grab myself a lucky dip bag.

Last sale I was seriously drooling over Will O the Wisp...and not just for the name!
Look at this delicious blend of pink and silver glitters...

Will O The Wisp
Will O The Wisp glowing
And it's glow in the dark!

I used three coats and was incredibly happy with the results.
Perfect princess pink ails...for Halloween...Yes I want to be a Princess.

Hare: What I Wore to the Revolution

I love history...especially looking at it through the terms of art, architecture and fashion.
So it's probably no surprise that I seriously drooled over The Last Queen of France, spring collection from Hare Polish.

Ohhhhhh I wanted those polishes so badly! Unforunately when I eventually got around to ordering them (paid of outstanding bills and had some money left) one of the polishes I ordered was suddenly mysteriously out of stock (I ordered from llarowe prior to the new site, no hard feelings though...I was refunded the bottle and part of the shipping).

The polish I did manage to snag was my most wanted from the collection, What I wore to the Revolution.

What I wore to the Revolution is a stunning glitter topper with black, bright pink and bright orange glitters, and shimmer.

What I wore to the Revolution over OPI My Vampire is Buff
I'm getting a serious Cruella de Vil vibe from this combo!

I think What I wore to the Revolution will look stunning over a pale blue creme, the contrast will be gorgeous. It's next on my list to try out for summer! Bring on summer!

OPI, interviews, ERO, a sick day and a quake

Eeekkk! Long time since I posted!

In my defence I have had parent teacher interviews (more commonly known as three ways...it's alludes to the fact the child is present and is involved in the discussion, but yes I know where your mind went!.

We also have the Education Review Office (ERO) coming in, in week 6... yikes 2 weeks to go. So whilst we're not worried about that, it's still unnerving and you want to have everything ready.
Every school is on a cycle for review. Cycles range from one year to 4/5 years. A 3 year review cycle is pretty standard.

Anyway on to pretty polish!
I was sick on Thursday and had my first day home sick of the year. Not bad to last until term 3 without taking any sick days! Anyway, I was feel much better by the afternoon and decided to do something to make myself feel better...swatch :)

Unfortunately I've misplaced my camera cable...so here's some pics I took last holidays!

OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls
Everyone needs a good base white in their collection. Whilst My Boyfriend Scales Walls isn't a pure white...unless you have it right next to white, no one would ever know!
White enough for me!

OPI My Very First Knockwurst
My Very First Knockwurst was a polish I desperately wanted when I first saw swatches of last years German collection. Now that I have it I'm not so sure about it to be honest. Honestly I just don't know about this colour on me. At least the formula was fab!

I managed to get back to school on Friday. I was still feeling pretty horrid, but I hate not being there, and I'd left my laptop and all of my work in my classroom.

I'm so glad I went in. We had another decent quake. 6.6.
The kids were fantastic, they dropped, crawled under their desks and turtled.
I'm glad I was the one there with my class, not a reliever.

The 6 pointer quake we had last month didn't rattle me as much as this one. I've been seriously jumpy since. I think it was seeing the reactions of the kids, their terrified faces and then the onslaught of worried parents that rushed in to school was what really got me. It all just kind of hit home that it could have been serious.

At least the after shocks have been getting smaller. I've only felt one today...at 4am.

Hopefully my posts will be more frequent in the coming weeks!

OPI: Bond Girls...Well Three of Them!

I can't believe it's back to school tomorrow! I mean, I am looking forward to seeing the kiddies again...but I can't say I'm looking forward to getting up in the morning. One could say I'm not a morning person?

I've been really enjoying the textured trend. I haven't tried any non sparkly textures...but I do love the ones with sparkles! So of course I needed the OPI Bond Girls. So far I've only managed to pick up three of the collection. I still want the others! But I haven't found a good excuse to buy them yet.

Honey Ryder
Honey Ryder is a gorgeous light gold. Neutral enough yet oh so glitzy.

Tiffany Case
No surprise...Tiffany Case is my favourite of the three I picked up. Gorgeous sparkly blue. Tiffany Case is seriously blingy!

Jinx
Jinx is the one I knew I needed as soon as I saw the promo pics. Vibrant coral with a gold shimmer? Yes please!
