Giveaway: Personification of Your Favourite Polish

Well a wee while a go I hit 500 followers! W00t! It was all very exciting.
Unfortunately at the time i was uber stressy and busy writing reports.

So welcome to my delayed giveaway!

I've had a few issues lately sending polish overseas. I didn't want to limit a giveaway to just New Zealand followers, but I also wasn't too keen to attempt sending polish internationally. (The postal service send you mean letters telling you off and threatening fines)

I was stuck for ideas... Then I remembered an idea that had been floating round in my head for a wee while... Personifying my favourite polishes. As soon as I saw the China Glaze Electro Pop collection I could see the polishes as people. I'm yet to draw them... but I will one day!

So for my 500 followers giveaway I will be giving away a picture, drawn by me, of your favourite polish personified.

The winner will be able to have input into the drawing, so I can capture how they imagine the polish.
The winner will be emailed the final drawing and will be able to use the image how ever they like. you may use the image on your blog, you may print the image, you may wall paper your nail polish room with the image if you so desire. My only rule is that I ask it not be sold.

I could pretend this was based on a polish... but she's not. I was just a little bored and had this image in my mind.

 The winner will be able to choose what kind of image they would like. A bust, a cropped image or a full length drawing.

They will have input into the pose, clothing, hairstyle, props, colours. The background will be a plain colour.

I will sketch the drawing by hand, scan it to show the winner. They will be able to OK it, before I scan it and colour it on the computer. I will even actually draw hands! (I was feeling rather lazy tonight when I drew theses pics!)

You can clearly see my drawing style from the two pictures I've posted and my blog header. Unfortunately, my style is not going to change, so if you don't like it, please don't enter. I want to draw something that someone will like and appreciate, not be ripped apart for my lack of skill or talent.

Daring Digits: Hogwarts

I currently have a naughty kitten attacking my hand as I try to write... Kitty has decided he rather likes the hair tie around my wrist. I shall have the last laugh though, he's off to the vet for his second set of vaccinations today.

If you know me, you know I love Harry Potter.

You'll also know I have an affinity with Hufflepuff and desperately need a polish that reflects this.

I decided to purchase the Daring Digits Hogwarts collection.
I must say I'm in love with Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, I'm kinda meh about Gryffindor and not a fan of Slyhterin. Don't get me wrong, the polishes are gorgeous but Gryffindor and Slyhtering aren't quite my cup of tea colour wise.

I ended up using 3 coats for each polish.

OPI: Bond

I'm attempting to post on my iPad mini again... One day I'll learn not to. It's just so much easier to do a blogpost on the computer... The blogging apps are just not all that.

Tonight we have our nephew for a sleepover, he's currently playing sims with Nick, and tomorrow we're taking him to his first swimming lesson. He's not so keen on the idea and threatened me he was going to drown... I'm sure he'll be fine!

I've spent a good portion of today uploading pics to my Facebook page ( if you haven't liked it yet....do it!) I still have a way to go with uploading... But it's getting there, and its very cool to see all the swatches next to each other. Very convenient!
