LA Girl Supernova

One polish I'd been drooling over forever, yet never managed to purchase was LA Girl Supernova. I finally got around to it.

Supernova is one pretty polish. I've layered it over black...but i think next time I wear it I'll chuck it on over a charcoal grey. Supernova is a sheer black jelly with holo strings. It's very pretty... i think I'd like to layer more layers to get the full effect of the jelly and strings next time.

Supernova
Drool! Look at those awesome holo strings.

Now if only the sun would come back. Its raining rather heavily outside and I can hear a lot of water over flowing the guttering...not a good sound! I had plans to get my class outside as much as possible today....looks like they'll be inside driving me insane instead!

Oh well at least I don't have to dry my hair now! What's the point in styling it for the day if I'm going to look like a drowned rat as soon as I step outside anyway.

China Glaze Romantiques

As we're coming in to Summer and we're well into Spring in the Southern Hemisphere i thought i'd get around to posting some Spring collections. Here's the polishes I own from the China Glaze Romantiques collection. We have a love hate relationship. I love them one day when I see them in the sun, I hate them the next day and wonder why was I wearing that. They are how ever excellent stamping polishes. So they can stay!

Recently there was a nice special on one of the daily deals sites here in New Zealand. 2 Revlon top Speed Polishes for $12.99. When they retail anywhere between $16.99 and $19.99 each....$12.99 ain't so bad! So I may have stocked up. Yes I got 7 polishes... There were only 7 colours. I accidentally ordered 2 of Modern grace. I ment to buy another in Mock Snob for mum... opps. Maybe she'll wear the purple :S

Mock Snob
Lux Laque
Super Nature
Modern Grace

Omg if you are a teal/aqua/turquoise lover you need this gorgeous polish. I have no idea if it's still in shops or anything....but you should seriously hunt it down. Look how amazing it is! The shimmer....the colour... Seriously i'm pretty much in love. it was a two coater.

Stone Washed

All in all I'm pretty happy with my new Revlon Top Speeds. I've been loving Revlon lately and these are all nice additions to my collection.

Color club: Alter Ego

Another better late than never post... I actually picked up this set from USA Nails Online a New Zealand distributor for color Club. They don't have this set anymore, but keep an eye on the site as they have crazy specials every so often. I mean the other day they did 7 polishes for $7... as in NZ dollars... wow.

This is the Alter Ego: Keep it Under Cover collection from Spring... yeah... a tad late...

Alias
Omg... so so so so pretty. Ok I'd cross all those so's out if this was one of my kids stories.... but I really wanted to emphasize the prettiness. Look at that yummy shimmer.

Masquerading
Can you believe this is one coat...seriously...one! Wow.

Total mystery
I have no idea why I'm not feeling this pretty shimmer blue... but I gave it to mum. She loves it.  Even looking at the pictures i'm still not into it. I have no idea why, it's pretty! I should love it but I don't.

Ulterior Motive
I didn't expect to like this one... but man is it pretty.

Secret Agent
I'm not sure how I feel about this very pretty purple shimmer. I have nothing quite like it in my collection, but I'm not sure about it on me... I like it... it's just... argh.. am I getting fussy?

Alter Ego
Now this is an odd colour. So much is happening. Purple, gold, silver, grey? Very sexy. A stunning and rather unique polish.

Orly: Mineral FX

I am a bad influence.

I woke up as per normal at 6am, I have to take Nick to the bus early on Sunday morning. I rolled over, gave my darling a hug and suggested he was sick today. Yay, sleepy Sunday morning in bed for me!

I envy him and how easy it is for him to take a sick day. If I'm sick I have to be basically dying before I ring up sick. I have a billion sick days owing me, k slight exageration but as a primary school teacher my sick days roll over from year to year, so I do have a few. If I'm sick though I need a reliever, they don't know the class routine and then my reading books get messed up.

I had a flu last term and was off for two days. Before I got sick I had organised my reading groups books for the next week. I came back to school to find the reliever had helped themselves and handed out my books... ruining my planning! They also marked my roll wrong... ARGH! lol. Sick days don't work out so well for me.

Anyway something that did work out well for me was ordering these two gorgeous polishes. I didn't really feel the Orly Mineral FX collection as much as I felt the Cosmic FX collection. So I only ended up with two bottles of polish. Emberstone and Rock Solid.

Emberstone
Emberstone is a stunning red/orange/coral with gorgeous gold and pink shimmery particles in it. As pretty as Emberstone is it and reminds me of Animalistic enough that I don't need both. Emberstone will be donated to mums ever growing collection. I just don't wear these colours enough to justify keeping both, even though they are not dupes.

Rock Solid
Oh...Holoooooo, Holoooo where are you? Awesome idea that doesn't quite translate on to the nail. Lucky for Rock Solid I still like it. I know it hasn't received as much love as the hype surrounding it...but I actually like Rock Solid. It's a pretty colour and every now and then you catch a glimpse of the holo glitters.

Revlon: Starry Pink

My cat is not my favourite at the moment. She managed to knock over one of the mice cages last night. We now have one less mouse. Then I woke up this morning to find my headphones chewed through. They are now in 4 pieces... lets just say they don't work anymore. But how can I stay mad at her when she's so cute.

Today's polish is a pretty lady like glitter. Revlon Starry Pink. This is the only polish I picked up from the Expressionist collection. I already own Bad Romance so don't need a dupe and I just wasn't feeling Blue Mosaic.

Revlon Starry Pink

Starry Pink is a very pretty pale pink with gorgeous silver glitters. Hex and small. Some people seem to hate it, others love it. I love it. I think it looks nice with my skin tone and can see myself wearing it a lot. Well I'd wear it a lot more if I worked in an environment where I had to wear work appropriate colours... Lucky me, the brighter the polish the more the kids love it.

I wore a plain red the other day (Wocka Wocka) and the kids were highly disappointed. One kept asking me why I wasn't wearing my rainbows. It took me a while to realise he meant holo polish!

OPI: Touring America

Better late than never! I did actually pick up three polishes from the OPI Touring America collection. I honestly only felt the need for these three. sad isn't it. Unfortunately I've seen the Holland pics and I must say I want a lot more than three!

Uh Oh Roll Down the Window
What can I say I'm immature the name makes me giggle. I do teach 6 and 7 year olds. But i actually do like this army tone. shout out to my little brother who just got back from Tuvalu. He's a medic in the army and went over as aid. Yeah I'm a proud big sister.

I eat Maine-ly Lobster
Well I love corals. Especially with a smidge of shimmer so I couldn't say no to this one.

My Adress is Hollywood
Ok so there were more unique colours in the collection....but I'm a sucker for a pretty pink with shimmer. especially if it hast a dusty rose quality to it.

Yeah I don't plan on picking up any of the other polishes in the collection. I was tempted by Are We there Yet? just for the sheer annoyingness of the question and the remebereance of annoying my parents by asking that very question. but i don't really need a polish for the name... at least not this time... CG Drinkin' My Blues Away can stay though... (I bought that one for the name, it's actually rather close to Blue Years Eve...)
