Color Club Holos

I climbed a mountain yesterday.

It is outdoor week this week at school. So not only am I still trying to finish report writing...I'm also physically exhausted. But really I did climb a mountain yesterday. We did a 3 hour hike, up a mountain, down a mountain, to a dam and then to a park. The pedometer on my phone says I did 18,000 steps.

Today is another big walking day. We are doing a photo scavenger hunt around the community.

With being outside all week and the gorgeous sun we are getting I'm very much so feeling holos.
I thought I'd pass on the new Color Club holos... you know wait for the China Glaze ones...
But I'm an addict. I'm so glad I bought them. They are amazing.

Cherubic

Harp On It

Cloud Nine

Angel Kiss
For some odd reason I didn't purchase Halo-graphic. Maybe if Santa is reading he could bring me one!

Anyway off to spend another day walking around in the sun.

We've had little Bumble Bee 2 weeks now, so I'll update with some pics of her in the weekend :)

Glitter Gal: Holo Spam

Today has been sunny!

Although it's summer here right now sunshine has been pretty rare. the odd day we've had sunshine the weathers done a 180 and started raining! Yeah some days our weather can be crazy.

I've had a few holos waiting to get swatched, so I was able to get that done today (and half the OPI Holland collection). OMG i love the Holland collection.

Anyway here's some awesome Glitter Gal polishes. Enjoy the holo sparkles!

Light As A Feather

Marine Blue

Lizard Belly
Glitter Gal polishes are insane. Amazing quality and pretty holo sparkles.

I swatched 10 to Midnight today...and yes it's just as insanely gorgeous! Hopefully those pics will make their way on to here in the next few weeks.

I'm still working on setting up some scheduled posts to try and keep on top of blogging and work at the moment. Darn that start of the year testing taking so much time to mark!

Spring Holo's!

It's Spring! The weather is warming and it's lighter in the mornings. I don't have to drive to work in the dark.
I took down all the winter displays in my classroom today. It seems bizarre to think it snowed just a few weeks ago. Now it's gorgeously sunny and it's doing wonders for my disposition.

What better way to celebrate spring and sunshine than with some stunningholo's.

We'll start with the most recent China Glaze to my collection...TMI!!!

China Glaze TMI
And now for the OPI's. Blue Moon Lagoon and Crim-sun. Blue Moon Lagoon hasn't photographed as well as it could have...in all honesty it is the blingiest holo I have. It was blinding in the Spring sunshine. Amazing stunning and not as subtle as it appears. It may be subtle in the shade but not in the sun!

OPI Blue Moon Lagoon

OPI Crim-sun
Unfortunately these gorgeous holo's are all rather hard to find. I purchased mine via ebay and I'm very happy to add them to my collection. At some point I'll compare Blue Moon Lagoon to DS Sapphire but I'm pretty sure Blue Moon Lagoon is lighter...maybe!

My Last Tronicas and Why the Wii is My Friend

I've posted all but two of my Tronica polishes. By all, I only have 5! So I've posted the majority but not these two. So here's Gamer Glam and Techno Teal.

Techno Teal
I wanted Techno Teal since I saw pictures comparing it to DV8, a polish I haven't been able to get my hands on. I love teals and turquoises. Anything with a blue/green or green/blue is right up my alley. I love Techno Teal, it has the same pretty holo sprinkling that the Tronicas seem to have, and the colour is just so darn pretty. Techno Teal was the last Tronica that I acquired and it's filled my leeming for Tronicas. I haven't been searching for them since!

Gamer Glam
Gamer Glam was the reason I needed polishes from this collection in the first place. I just wanted to be able to paint my nails and sit down next to Nick while he was playing his xbox or ps3 and say 'hey darling, my nails are Gamer Glam'. When I told him the name of the polish he was actually interested...he was on a bit of a Tron kick though. Anyway I love Gamer Glam, it's pretty and purple and has an awesome name that related to my life outside of nail polish.

In other news the Wii Fit and I are still friends. Since my passing out episode on Tuesday I haven't exercised and was kind of dreading the idea of weighing myself...but it told me I'd lost weight still. So far I've lost 4kg now.

I started at 71kg (156 pounds) and that was the heaviest I have ever been, emotional eating does that to you...mmmm hells pizza. Anyway after 3 weeks I'm now at 67kg ( 148 pounds). 67kg is my normal weight so my dress should fit me again when I have my dress fitting on Wednesday night. For the wedding I'd like to lose a little more though, just so I can look back at the pictures of  me in a bikini and say 'yeah I actually looked alright'. I figured I'll be wearing a bikini a lot seeing as the wedding's in RAROTONGA!!!!! yeah!!! Can you tell I'm getting excited! Only 8 more weeks to go!

The awesome thing about my diet and exercise routine (when I have the energy to start exercising again, yay iron pills) is I love eating salad and homemade chicken soup. I also love doing exercise at home...where other people can't see how un co-ordinated I am! I can't wait to start Zumba and Biggest Loser up again on alternative days. I'm going to give it a try tomorrow when Nick's home....just in case I have issues with blacking out again!

Pink Wednesday!

It's Wens'day, Wens'day...gotta wear pink on Wens'day....

I'm rocking my 2nd China Glaze Tronica polish....Hyper Haute.
And let me tell you, this is one hot polish alright!

Hyper Haute
This was two coats of Hyper Haute. It's a really nice bright dark pink. Again it's not a linear holo, it's not even a real crazy scattered holo. I've dubbed these impressionist holo's. Tiny dots of holo awesomeness that play with the light. I swear at times these polishes appear to have a shimmery dotted rainbow floating over the colour. argh! I can't explain the awesomeness.

Now I'm off to pick up my gorgeous nephew and we're going on an adventure. A 45min drive over a hill to pick up two cute little baby girl mice. He's been looking forward to our drive since his birthday on Wednesday, a week ago!

Autism Awareness

Yesterday was Autism Awareness Day.

As a primary school teacher I come in contact with children who are on the spectrum every day.

Autism is more common than we realise and many people don't realise that Autism is a spectrum. I liked what was said at one course I attended on Autism. "Everyone has a piece to the puzzle, some have more pieces than others".

Anyway on to my blue...

China Glaze High Def.

High Def in sunshine
I was prepared to be disappointed by the Tronica Holos, but I wasn't. They're different yes, but still amazing. I actually really like the holo effect in the Tronicas. Rather than a linear or a crazy scattered holo, the Tronicas have a very fine holographic effect. At some points it was like I was looking at a rainbow gradient that covered my whole nail, not just a thin band of rainbow. It's an impressionistic holographic effect.

But then I went and ruined it. I was waiting around while Nick was shooting at his work mates at paintball...so I crackled it. White wasn't a good choice. Then just for good measure, to make it truly heinous, I added OPI Last Friday Night. The pictures don't look so bad...but trust me it wasn't a good look!

High Def topped with Lightning Bolt and Last Friday Night...
