China Glaze Two More Neons!

When I ordered the New Bohemian collection I couldn't resist throwing in two more of the neons.

I think the thing I love most about the Summer Neons is the shimmer...drool!

Where to buy: Gracie Lou

Just a quick post while I'm at school...
I know shocking it's the middle of a school day and I'm blogging! I have a release day for testing... but I can't test any of the children from now until 2pm, because they are swimming. Argh!
So rather than stare at my computer collating data, I thought I'd write a quick post.

One of the things that I hate about being a polish addict in NZ is the fact the polish is so  darn expensive. $26 for OPI? $25 for Orly?

I tend top buy all my polishes from overseas websites and ebay sellers. Even with shipping costs and having to wait forever, it seems like a better deal that paying $26!!!

Luckily I found Gracie Lou.
(Thanks Lani!)

Gracie Lou is the place to go for polish and beauty products that are hard to find in NZ. The polishes are reasonably priced and at the moment everything is 10% off. I never thought I'd see Ozotics selling for $15.50 in NZ.

On Wednesday morning I ordered a couple of polishes from Gracie Lou. Shipping was very reasonable at $4.50. On Wednesday afternoon they were in my mail box! Whilst I don't expect the polish fairies to make my parcels arrive this fast every time, it was definitely a nice surprise.

All wrapped up with a cute little bow
I played pass the parcel with my polishes, there was so much bubble wrap to ensure their safety.
China Glaze Con-fused and Orly Sashay My Way. Look at that glittery goodness!
I was very restrained and only purchased two polishes...Ok as soon as these arrived I went back and ordered 3 more... Hopefully the sun will be out again tomorrow and I'll be able to sit on the deck swatching my gorgeous new polishes and sipping cocktails... That sounds like the perfect Saturday!

So if you're looking for polish at a reasonable price (especially Ozotics and Picture Polish) go and check out Gracie Lou. And in exciting news she posted on Facebook this morning that Gracie Lou would be stocking Zoya and aEngland soon! AWESOME!

China Glaze New Bohemian

The only 'fall' collection I fell head over heels for and totally needed was the China Glaze New Bohemian collection.

When I saw the promo pics I though... meh, don't need. I'm not even that keen on duo-chromes.
Then I saw swatch pics. Every time I saw another swatch I needed to buy the polishes more and more.

I eventually caved and bought the complete set. In my defense I still haven't bought the OPI Minnie Mouse polishes, Spiderman, NY Ballet or Germany polishes. I have a lot of polishes to catch up on! Darn you indie polish spending!

Dollish Polish Super Mario

Drool! I love Dolish Polish and I've been leeming some of the Super Mario polishe forever.
After what seemed like forever, I was finally able to nab some.

It's a Me Mario! over Color Club Cold Metal
Now they are some gorgeous polishes!

Indie: Darling Diva Polish

Last week my order of Darling Diva Polishes arrived. I was ohhing and ahing over the pretty glitters, dreaming of the layering combinations I could create...

Then I remembered I never posted the swatches I have of my pre-existing Darling Diva Polishes.

So here they are!

Cherry Jubilee
Cherry Jubilee is a polish I was worried would be thick and gluggy.  But it applied easily and looks perfect for Christmas! Yes I'm thinking about Christmas already!

Twilight Sparkle
Twilight Sparkle is a very pretty purple polish with blue, purple and white glitter strew through it. This was three coats and it applied easily... But didn't suit me at all!

Destiny
Destiny is my kind of colour! And it's also a very easy to work with polish. I wish I had more glitter on my nails, but I could have rolled the bottle for longer to acheive that. you can see all the pretty glitter down the bottom. I love the mix of gold glitter with the blue.

And in case anyone is wonder what was in the awesome parcel I received last week...

Just Keep Swimming, Mitochondrial Eve, Release the Kraken v2, The opera House and The 13th Colony. Keep an eye out for swatches in the next few weeks!

Happy Spring: All That Glitters Princess Polish!!!

Well it's now September... That means it's Spring!

I got a super awesome parcel on Saturday and can't wait to show everyone what was in it...
So you get two posts tonight!

As you can probably guess from the title of my post I received the bottles of polish I ordered from All That Glitters princess polishes.

I was very restrained and only ordered three polishes...but when she opens back up next week I am so buying the remaining four.

Book Smart Beauty (Belle), Fins for Feet (Ariel), Not a Prize to be Won (Jasmine)
As soon as I saw these I knew I needed Belle's polish. if I was a Disney Princess I'd be belle with blue eyes... Unfortunately mum and Nick vetoed playing Tale As Old As Time as a wedding song... Something about implying Nick was the Beast...?

As for Ariel and Jasmine... I had to have them for the colours... and they totally fall in as my next favourite princesses. (Oddly enough Snow White is my fave princess to dress up as though)

2 coats Not a Prize to be Won, 2 coats Fins for feet and 3 coats Book Smart Beauty.
As you can see these polishes can be worn alone... But I plan to use them as layering polishes.

How I could I resist making one of these gorgeous polishes my full mani. I settled on Fins for feet to match my clothes for tomorrow (Yeah I was tidying up so I got my clothes sussed already).

I used 1 coat of aEngland Gallahad (perfect base colour) and 1 coat of Fins for Feet... Yes that's right 1 coat! I am in love with this combination!

And lastely here's a little shot of Spring from our house. I love blossom :)
