Glitter Gal: Holo Spam

Today has been sunny!

Although it's summer here right now sunshine has been pretty rare. the odd day we've had sunshine the weathers done a 180 and started raining! Yeah some days our weather can be crazy.

I've had a few holos waiting to get swatched, so I was able to get that done today (and half the OPI Holland collection). OMG i love the Holland collection.

Anyway here's some awesome Glitter Gal polishes. Enjoy the holo sparkles!

Light As A Feather

I swatched 10 to Midnight today...and yes it's just as insanely gorgeous! Hopefully those pics will make their way on to here in the next few weeks.

I'm still working on setting up some scheduled posts to try and keep on top of blogging and work at the moment. Darn that start of the year testing taking so much time to mark!

Some Glitter Gal Holo

Well I'll start of with the Glitter Gal holo! Everyone loves a good holo... well I most certainly do! The prices I've paid for some holos would make you curse. I paid $40 (New Zealand) including shipping for OPI DS Glamour... was it worth it... Oh yeah! Glamour is so pretty.

Luckily there are some holo's that don't cost $40. Glitter Gal are now more readily available in the US thanks to llarowe and in New Zealand. Check out polishqueennz on Trade Me.

This Glitter Gal in particular puts me in a Christmasy mood... lets count this as my first Christmas post of the season!

Glitter Gal Not Another Red
Well they got that right...it's not another red alright! This is one red I love. More coral tinged and very flattering. Drool! Holo gooodness. I applied 3 coats...I'm a three coater habitually.
In other news...I can't wait to see the new names the Glitter Gals get.

Glitter Gal: 3D Holographic Frappe

What better way to start two weeks of holidays than to post pictures of a stunning holo polish?

Glitter Gal 3D holographic Frappe and Silver
I've already shown you all Silver which is an absolutely mindblowingly amazing silver holo. Today I want to share Frappe. Frappe is a very pretty delicate pinky purpley holo. I'm not entirely sure how it relates to frappes but it's a gorgeous colour nonetheless.

Glitter Gal 3D Hologaphic Frappe
As you can see Frappe turns pink on me Pretty, delicate, feminine and holo! What more could you ask for. I used three coats of Frappe in my pictures.

Don't forget New Zealand ladies you can purchase your very own Glitter Gal holo's right here in New Zealand. Email Lisa on polishqueenNZ@gmail.com or check out Trade Me polishqueennz.

Silver Holo Comparisons

Nikki asked if Glitter Gal Silver was similar to China Glaze Sexagon in terms of sexy chunky particle holoness.

I've compared Glitter Gal Silver, China Glaze Sexagon and Milani HD.

Hope this helps :)

Glitter Gal: 3d Holographic Silver

I showed off the gorgeous bottle shots of Glitter Gal Silver and Frappe yesterday. If you thought they looked amazing in the bottle...they're insane on the nail!

I'm going to have to say that Silver is my new favourite nail polish. I'm not normally a silver girl, but I loved the way Silver looked on my nails...even in shade and low light. And when I saw it in the sun...WOW! It is insanely holographic. I can see what Glitter Gal mean when they say they use true holographic particles.

Anyway pictures...these are after 2 days of wear...and still look amazing. I took pictures several times during the day to showcase the polish in different lights. I used three coats of Silver and 1 coat of Seche Vite.

Late at night in the light of my bedside lamp. Drooooool.
A few rays of sunshine poked through my classroom window after the rain. Gotta love the whiteboard marker!

Making the most of the last sunlight of the day to capture gorgeous holo goodness!
Under artificial light, when there are only a few beams of sun poking between the clouds and even when the sun is trying to set and making everything look golden, there is still holo. Silver is an amazing polish. I'm lucky enough to own several silver holo's including China Glaze Sexagon and I think Glitter Gal Silver is the best hands down. I'll do a comparison when the sun decides to play nice again.

If you're in New Zealand and want to get your hands on Silver or any of the other stunning Glitter Gal colours contact Lisa on polishqueenNZ@gmail.com or check out polishqueennz on trade me.

More info on Glitter Gal 3d Holographic polishes:

Glitter Gal Holographic nail polish
We use “true” holographic particles in our formulation.  This one ingredient is 30 times more expensive than any other nail polish ingredient.  Thus making our holographic nail polish the highest quality possible.  You will notice the smoothness to the finish of polish, and reflective effects are amazing.  They are also the “Big 3 Free”.

Many other companies have tried create holographics, but use the more affordable ingredients, which don’t give the polishes the same effect, we didnt want to compromise on quality and wanted to deliver to our customers a true holographic formulation.

Glitter Gal in New Zealand

Over the last year Glitter Gal polishes have been showing up all over blogs, causing me to drool. Have you seen the gorgeous sparkly holoness? As soon as pics began popping up I googled Glitter Gal to see how I could get my hands on these amazing polishes.

I found out Glitter Gal was an Australian company and I'd need to order from Australia. Unfortunately for me the New Zealand dollar isn't so good against the Aussie and my credit card would have cried a lot at the currency conversion. So I never managed to get my hands on the Glitter Gal holos.

The good news is that New Zealanders can now get their hands on Glitter Gal polishes. We don't need to order from Australia or scour ebay. Glitter Gal now have a New Zealand stockist. Check out polishqueennz on trade me or email Lisa on polishqueenNZ@gmail.com.

I was lucky enough to be sent two gorgeous bottles of polish for review. Check out these bottle shots!

Frappe and Silver
Frappe
I'm wearing Silver in these pictures and have been for the last three days. I have no intention of ever taking it off....seriously Silver is just that pretty. Hopefully the sun will play nice with me today so I can take some pictures of Frappe. I plan to post my review of these polishes later today.

You may have noticed that Glitter Gal polishes are smaller than usual. They are 9ml bottles. The reasoning behind this is that Glitter Gal uses true holographic particles which is expensive. To keep the polishes affordable the bottles are smaller.

Glitter Gal

I was lucky enough to stumble upon some really nicely priced glitter gal polishes. These retail for $9.99 Australian Dollars. I got 10 polishes for just over $50 NZ dollars. That's less than half price a bottle, seeing as our dollars not so great against the Australian at the moment...

All of the colours I bought went on deliciously smoothly except the purples...both purples had issues. They were just a tad thick and glunky. The polishes are 'imaginatively' named...by their colour.

French White
White Sparkle: No matter how hard I tried I couldn't capture the purpley flash. This colour is gorgeous!
Baby Pink

Lavender
Silver
Grey/Silver
Grape
Hot Pink
Sparkle Blue
Deep Metallic Blue
