RBL: Fan Collection 2.0

As soon as I even heard about the RBL Fan Collection 2.0, I had to have it. I didn't even care what the polishes were... after experiencing the first Fan Collection I knew they'd be stunning.

So as soon as I got the pre-order email...I placed my order, declaring to Nick that it was a Birthday/Christmas present. Being a December baby I can get away with such things.

Now my birthday is this Tuesday. Tuesday the 10th of December. But of course the polish went on to my tips as soon as they arrived!

Since it's almost my birthday...I can pretend I waited until my birthday to open them...At least I waited to blog them!

RBL: Fan Collection

So I have a problem... I think the correct term may be shopping addiction...
Confessions of a Shopaholic? Rebecca Bloomwood ain't got nothing on me.

I'm trying to reform... but it's just so hard when stunning collections like the RBL fan Collection come along and then they say LIMITED EDITION. Limited edition screams at me with neon flashing lights and tells me I need to buy it...

I did only buy three of the polishes... at $20 a pop and with the shipping basically equaling the price of a fourth bottle I decided I didn't need IKB:2012... but then it sold out and all of a sudden I need it. I don't even really want it... I just need it. I think I need professional help. Luckily for my credit card I wont be trying to get my hands on IKB:2012. I am thoroughly happy with the three gorgeous polishes I got :)

Aqua Lily is most definitely my favourite though...

RBL: Catherine H

I was supposed to post this yesterday... but after a night out running the games at the school disco...I really didn't want to get out of bed. There's just something about attempting to control a larger group of children high on sugar that drains you.

Then I got sick. I was doing the roll for my class on Friday morning and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to throw up. I sent them out to run round the field and got myself a glass of water. I felt generally lousy all yesterday and it's developed into a head cold. I love the end of term... sarcasm may have been present in that statement. 4 more days of school until the holidays though.

Anyway here is my last RBL polish to show you all, Catherine H. Catherine H is my favourite polish from the Tudor Housewives. I love a good blue...even better if its a Wedgewood blue. Hours of Antiques Roadshow has taught me all about the awesomeness of a good Wedgewood.

And now I think I'll go back to bed a die quietly. Darn head cold.

RBL: Catherine

When I first became obssessed with polish RBL was just too darn expensive and I thought I could live with out the Tudor Housewives. I thought I didn't need Catherine... and then just like that they were gone. Sold out. I didn't have the choice of not buying them...I just couldn't buy them. All of a sudden I developed a need to have those Tudor Housewives in my life.

I soon realised if you want a RBL polish it's best to suck it up and buy it. When they sell out, they sell out. I bought my first RBL polishes when I saw swatches of Piu Mosso and knew I needed it in my life.

I was lucky enough to get Catherine, Anne and Catherine H when they were brought back.

So with out further rambling here's Catherine!

Catherine
Catherine is a stunning red based dusky purple with the most amazing shimmer. The tiny little specks of pink and blue shimmer really make Catherine stand out.

RBL Anne... Do you Google Yourself?

I am rather weary of Facebook. I don't trust it, but I can't live with out it. How else could I see friends and families photos? The idea that they have the drunken images of me as a 19 year old, that even though deleted could one day resurface... yup I'm buying into the Facebook paranoia.

Ok so the drunken pictures are rather tame in reality, just a case of a funny look in my eyes and slightly disheveled clothing, but it still unnerves me slightly.

So I googled myself. My full name, my married name, my nickname, my online alias, my gamer tag...

I think I can now say that I'm an incredibly boring person according to the internet. The most interesting things I found about myself was I'm a teacher and I have this blog. Neither of those things could be found off the same name though.

Does anyone else get paranoid about the internets...or is it just me and my crazy?

Anyway, on to happy polish thoughts. Here is one polish that won't be leaving my collection.

RBL Anne
Anne may not be in my usual colour palette, but boy is she pretty. Can you see the pink shimmer...yummy!
Anne is definitely staying with me.

RBL Haul Preview

I currently own 7 RBL polishes. As much as I'd love to own more, the shipping is just so darn expensive. It's the same or more than a whole bottle of polish...and RBL polishes are not so cheap.

I bought 3 polishes from the L'Oiseau de Feu collection last year. I ummed and ahhhed over buying two of the BIB polishes, but just couldn't justify the shipping for two polishes. Then I got that email saying the Vintage BIB polishes were available for pre-order. My self restraint went out the window.

Here are some quick skittles of the stunners I purchased.

Scrangie, Catherine, Catherine H and Anne

Ohhh yeah! Those are some sexy polishes. I actually wore those skittles for 2 days. I just loved seeing the pretty colours.

RBL

A little while ago I maxed my credit card. You may have noticed my insane haulage over a couple of months. opps. You'll be glad to know I no longer have control of my credit card (booo Nick took it off me)... but I do have these gorgeous Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes. So it's all good!

Poco a Poco
this may look like a granny colour in the shade... but check out this stunner in the sunlight. I'm loving that red/coopery shimmer that is running through the pink. Most definitely makes me think of red sky in the morning...

Pizzicato
A beautiful understated pale lilac with gorgeous white/icy shimmer. A seriously pretty delicate polish. I actually wore this one today. Every time I looked at my hands I felt so girly.

Piu Mosso
wow. I mean seriously look at that cooper shimmer. Wow. Sure Piu Mosso is a really dark navy that I probably wont wear so much...I just don't do dark too often. But omg how could I not buy it. Just look at that shimmer. I'll be saving this one for seriously special occasions where I want to be sexy as hell....cause this polish is one damn sexy polish.
