Power Nap and some Haul Pics

Ok...so maybe not a power nap, I may have that darn headcold again...but I went to have a lie down at 4.30pm and woke up and it was dark.

At the moment I'm just taking a bunch of pills to get me healthy. Antibiotics, antihistamines, cough medicine, ibuprofen and the occasional paracetamol. In good news my cough is mostly gone, my nose has started streaming.

I wanted to show everyone some bottle pics of the polishes I've picked up recently. There's not many, but then I'm waiting on a package of Zoyas and another of Kleancolors...I hope they arrive tomorrow.

Cult Nails: Quench, Iconic, My Kind of Cool Aid, Living Water and Always Winning
I was very excited to finally get these gorgeous Cult Nails polishes. Is anyone else totally pre-ordering the the new collection? I'm loving the formulaes and the more unique colours Cult Nails is offering. I haven't played with these colours yet. I swatched them on my wheels and they applied amazingly. I can't wait to wear them. I've worn Always Winning which looked fantastic with Navy Shatter.

Sinful Colors: Black on Black, Thimbleberry, Pink 4 Ever, Pearl Harbour and Dream On
On Wednesday when I went to the doctors she gave me a prescription for some drugs which lead me to the pharmacy. The pharmacy we go to is the only one I've seen Sinful Colors at. They're $8.99 but compared to other brands in NZ thats pretty good. They don't have the biggest range but I've been looking at the polishes for so long that I finally decided to just buy some. I bought the black for mum and she squealed when I gave it to her. She was so excited to get a black polish. I'm currently wearing Thimbleberry and it's an amazing coral shade. I decided to top it with White Shatter and I'm loving the look. The idea is that I keep it on till Wednesday...but we'll see how I go. It's been two days so far...so hopefully I can last at least another two!

Butterfly Award

I know I said I wouldn't have time...but I just got a lovely message and an award from Beauty Behaved.
How could I resist posting this awesome award....and I just painted my nails, so I can't exactly pack or clean!

The Rules:
1. Link the person back who awarded you
2. Share 7 things about yourself
3. Answer the following questions below
4. Award this to 15 bloggers

Seven things about me:
1. I'm getting married on Friday 22nd of July.
2. I started packing on Monday.
3. Normally I'd have a list of everything I need to pack and take written, but I don't have a list.
4. Normally I'd have a list of all the activities to do whilst we are away and what day would be best to them on...but I don't.
5. I'm feeling very disorganized and slightly less in control with out my lists!
6. I am looking forward to winging it...kind of...I just started getting very excited today. Like crazy excited, bubbles in your tummy excited!
7. And of topic from the wedding...If I was sorted in a Hogwarts house I would be in Hufflepuff. I wish Hufflepuff got more love.

Questions:
Name your favorite color- Turquoise

Name your favorite song- Green day- Good Riddance or Beauty and The beast.

Name your favorite dessert- Brownies

What pisses you off- People who don't indicate or don't give way. Apparently I was cranky yesterday I tooted my horn at two people!

When you're upset you- are sulky and moody and want hugs.

Your favorite pet- ohhh...how to choose between my little mice. Clio probably. she's the naughtiest. Always climbing on the roof and trying to escape and she has the coolest kink in her tail.

Black or white- White. We're just talking about shades and tints right? White mixes nicer with other colours when you're painting. I'd rather start with a darker tone and add white than start light and add black.

Your biggest fear- Darn white tail spiders and their creepy pointy legs.

best feature- Hahaha....I've said this before...i'm so self conscious of my boobs, but they do rock.

Everyday attitude- Getting through life most days...with a smile of course.

What is perfection- Subjective. One persons ideal of perfect is not the same as anothers.

Guilty pleasure- Chocolate. buying a box of nice chocolates and sneaking a couple of pieces while I read a book.

Color Club Wild at Heart

Finally a seasonally appropriate polish collection...well seasonally appropriate for Wellington. i'm sure the sun is trying to break through the clouds today...It was a beautiful winter day yesterday. Sunny yet freezing cold.
Anyway on to the Color Club Wild at Heart collection. Yup it's an old collection, but it's a good one!

Wild and Willing
This is an awesome polish. Sheer and takes a few coats....but look at that sparkle and duo-chrome! seriously awesome. I'd been debating purchasing Wild and Willing for awhile. I'm so glad I got it. If you're procrastinating buying it...dont! Just go and buy it it's awesome.

Wild at Heart
Well we all know about Wild at Heart. Seriously awesome purple scattered holo. It can be a one coater if you're careful. Enough said.

Love 'Em and Leave 'Em
This is one of my go to neutrals. it's holo, it's neautral...it's pretty much awesome. can you tell i like this collection!

With Abandon
Not the most me colour...actually the only one of the collection i'm not so into. It's nice, but just not me?

Rule breaker
I love Rule Breaker. I swear I see a slight duo-chrome in it. I may be crazy...but it'sa very awesome greeny bluey teal. I love the darkened edges effect.

On the Wild Side
Not so much wild as it is a dark grey frost...but I still like it. I have issues with patience so I get brush strokes, but that's just me!

All in all I really like the Color Club Wild at Heart Collection and I'm glad I finally picked it up.

I just worked out the internet at the hotel in Rarotonga is dial up...AHHHH! So I'm currently planning a few posts to pop up while we're away next week. Stay tuned for some Nail Prisms, Nyx Girls polishes and a few more Color Clubs. I'll be sunbathing...snorkling...eating masses of tropical fruit and oh...yeah...GETTING MARRIED! We fly out Wednesday Morning, but my to do list is so long I'm not sure I'll get another post in before.

Lots of love to all!

Essie Brazilliant

I ended up ordering three of the new summer colours from Essie. Brazilliant, Super Bossa Nova and Smooth Sailing. I didn't think i was going to order any...but after seeing swatches of Smooth Sailing I needed them!
In all honesty now i have them in person...I probably would have survived without them.

Brazilliant
Brazilliant is the collections namesake and its a very bright orange. It's fabulous to see a bright orange that isn't a neon...and even better it has a subtle pinkish shimmer. Hot! it was odd though none of these polishes dried very shiny. they all dried rather satiny? Did anyway else find that? Definitely need to use a top coat.

Smooth Sailing with an accent of Color Club Tattered in Gold

Smooth sailing is why I needed these three polishes. it's a gorgeous blue with the tiniest flecks...or the largest shimmer? Unfortunately in the winter light it didn't thrill me. I'll have to put it away again for summer.

Super Bossa Nova
Super Bossa Nova was my Pink mani for Pink Wednesday yesterday. It's a hot pink. Very sexy, but don't forget the top coat. A kid in my class last year had a little sister called Nova. Just reminded me. She had a brilliant imagination (the kid in my class not the little sister). When I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up she told me a dalmation. She drew her head on top of a spotty dogs body... 7 year olds!

Anyway lights out for me...my heads hurting and my eyes are feeling very heavy.

Night!

A Super Pink Wednesday

Happy Pink Wednesday! I've decided to use one of the brightest happiest pinks that was in my unswatched pile. Essie Super Bossa Nova is a nice happy bright pink with a subtle shimmer. Not the most unique, but it was a nice bright cheerful colour which is what I needed today.

Super Bossa Nova
Yes Brazilliant would have been brighter...but its not orange Wednesday!

I needed cheering up with a nice bright colour because I'm back to feeling bad again. Yesterday I went to work. I was cranky and irritable with the kids, they're all sick to and I went from feeling alright to feeling awful again pretty fast. I took today off to visit the doctor. Who asked me why I'd gone into work and told me to take the week off. She was on mums side...more concerned about the wedding than my work.

It's the last week of term. There's only 2 days left and they would have been easy days. I want to see my class before the holidays and I want to see all the staff. I wish the doctor had just written me a medical certificate for Wednesday and Thursday but she made it through till Monday! Now I'm worried everyone's going to hate me for taking three days off. Especially my last day at school before my wedding...which they can't come to because it's in Rarotonga. I'm going in Friday for morning tea, but I feel so bad that the principal felt like he had to tell me that the staff wanted to do something for me. Like I was forgetting about them or something...
It doesn't help I kept having patches where I feel fine...and then the head starts hurting and my stomach feels queasy and I start coughing again and I remember that actually I am still sick and need to be 100% for the wedding. But I still feel bad and selfish.

Wow I'm crazy and such a people pleaser. One day I'll turn around and just say 'screw you I'm doing what I want'... but it wont be anytime soon. In the mean time I'll worry about upsetting people and continue to feel guilty.

New Hair

While I'm holidign on the phone waiting for the insurance people to answer, I may as well post my new hair.
I didn't get much taken off and just got a few layers and that growing out fringe blended into my hair as more of a side swept fringe. the coolest thing however is the colour.  My hairdresser is awesome she can interpret my 'ah I don't know' and find exactly the colours I'm after.

A lot more blonde. you can see the warm foils and the blonde, blonde foils.
While i'm still holding...Here's some pics of my nails yesterday. I felt myself immediatly drawn to Cult nails Always Winning as soon as I saw the bottle.

But then it started peeling so I gave it a healthy dose of OPI Navy Shatter.
