I Climbed a Mountain...
This week is 'Outdoor Week' at school. We basically get to deviate from our normal programme and do some outdoorsy type activities. This year the juniour class theme is animals including human animals.
So far we have had an animal show, made scroggin and climbed Cannon Point.
We climbed Cannon Point, the hill behind the school, today. It took us three hours up and down. Pretty good for 5 and 6 year olds. I'm tired and achey and am starting to think I really should run round the field with the kids in the mornings...I'm so unfit.
It's a good thing it was overcast...long walks uphill are not fun in hot sunshine!
Tomorrow we're having a treasure hunt and making kites. Thursday we are going to zoo...I can't wait. I love the zoo. Friday...we are recovering!
I had set up posts for this week, so that I didn't have to worry about posting when I was busy with outdoor week and report writing. I forgot to schedule them though...I left them as drafts. Opps!

a-England: Holo Goodness
The last of my a-England polishes are the two gorgeous holo's. Although not crazy linnear holo's these two polishes hold their own in the holo world. They are amazing colours and the gorgeous holo particles just add to the beauty of the colours.
I was a little worried that Lady of the Lake would be too close in colour to Color Club Wild at Heart. Good news (or bad news if you wanted a dupe)...Lady of the Lake is very different to Wild at Heart. Lady of the Lake has more blue tone to its purple. Not quite as blue as it is showing in my photo...but definitely a blue/purple.
I have nothing else like Tristam in my collection. Tristam is a unique dark blue holo polish. I honestly just love the base colour of this polish so much. It is a gorgeous dark blue, not too dark, not too light...just right. The holo is an added bonus.

Misa: Surreal Escape
All my reports are due tomorrow... So of course I'm procrastinating by posting on here!
It's just general comments I have to write... It's easy to say a kid talks to much in a nice way...but saying a kid is disruptive, argumentative and picks on other children? Then I after saying that I can't exactly say it has been a pleasure to teach them. Maybe a few cocktails will help me write them.
It's also voting day today. I can't stand politics. I understand the need for them... but I don't like to be involved in them. To be honest I'm still not 100% sure who to vote for. They all seem to be as bad as each other.
So whilst I need to write reports and walk down to the polling booth...I think I'll take a surreal escape with Misa.
When I saw the Surreal Escape collection on http://www.nailsupplies.us/ I didn't know it was a new collection, as I hadn't seen any info about it. Four polishes still made their way into my cart!
This was my favourite out of the polishes I purchased. A somewhat frosty green polish that has a very cool bright blue/aqua duochrome. I found that driving was the best way to see the extreme duochrome...my fingers were at the perfect angle whilst holding the steering wheel. Though it's best not to stare at your nails too often while driving...
This one reminds me of Nubar Wildlife...but not as cool? I haven't actually compared them though. Green/brown/purple duochrome...just not really my cup of tea.
This just reminds me too much of OPI Not like the Movies (which I love). Shields up just seems like the wishy washy cousin. Yes it's pretty...but I love me some Not Like the Movies.
Below is Beyond Infinity. I messed up the layout of this post...opps! Anyway I actually quit like Beyond Infinity, it's a darker grey with blue tone. Standard really, but nice.

LA Girl Glitters
A wee while ago I splurged on some polish from Cherry Culture. I love being able to pick up NYX polish and make up from Cherry Culture. The only downside to awesome make up and polish arriving at your doorstep is the cost of shipping.
I've recently discovered LA Girl polishes. LA Girl has a whole spectrum of glitter polishes available. I picked up three.

a-England: Bright and Sparkly
Continuing my week of a-Englands I have the brights and glitter polish that I own.
Wow! Just like Guinevere this is one smooth creme and the colour is to die for. Galahad is my favourite of the a-England polishes that I own... yup I love this one more than the holos... it's just so perfect.
How could I not buy a polish entitled Holy Grail. This Holy Grail is a very yellow gold shimmer. It stands out from other golds because it is so yellow based. I'm not sure it's the right colour for me. Mum how ever saw it and won't give it back!
Merlin is a stunning silver glitter. This was two coats and as you can see Merlin is dense enough to be built up and worn alone. Merlin is also fab for layering and adding some sparkle to another colour.

BB Couture Spam and a Winner!
There was a winner for my 365 give away that finished at the end of October. We just had a few problems with emails not arriving in the right folders and took awhile to confirm everything. Good news is though that there was a winner and we finally got everything sorted!
So congratulations to Sarah Crawford! Everything is in the post and hopefully winding its way across the world to you.
And now on to some awesome BB Couture polishes...
I love BB Couture polishes. I wish there was an easier way for me to get my hands on them.
I ordered these from Overall Beauty. It was rather easy to do...but the waiting was hard! I wanted them instantly. In saying that, they didn't take nearly as long as I thought they would to ship from the US.
I love BB Couture's seemingly trade mark glitter/shimmer. It's thoroughly awesome. Now that I have Love Bug and Man Bug I must have Signs of Spring... Each time I buy BB Couture Nail Polish I just want more!

a-England: Lady like hues
a-England polish are gorgeous. They have the cutest bottles with silver caps and crown print. They are named after British mythology. The cremes are amazing. The shimmers are stunning. The glitter is awesome and there are two holo polishes...one of which is a stunning dark blue...
Seriously what is not to love about a-England? So lets have an a-England week! I've got three posts lined up for you all this week showcasing some amazingly awesomtastic a-England polishes.
Lets start today with some lady like hues.
Delicious dusty purple. Two coats of smooth polish. I really don't know what else to say except Guinevere is awesome and go buy it!
Isuelt is a pale pink. A very pale pink shimmer. I know this colour won't suit everyone and I think I'm just on the line of does it look good or does it make me red... but I really like the ladylike pale pearly pink.
So Maybe I did buy Morgan Le Fay just for the name... I may or may not have being having a Stargate moment... talking of Stargate moments... I'm loving Terra Nova but omg it reminds me of Stargate...and Jurrasic Park...and Lost.... Anyway Morgan Le Fay... very pretty shimmer white. Can be used as a layering polish or built up to wear alone. This was 2-3 coats.
These polishes are crazily photogenic and look even more delicious in person.

Some Glitter Gal Holo
Well I'll start of with the Glitter Gal holo! Everyone loves a good holo... well I most certainly do! The prices I've paid for some holos would make you curse. I paid $40 (New Zealand) including shipping for OPI DS Glamour... was it worth it... Oh yeah! Glamour is so pretty.
Luckily there are some holo's that don't cost $40. Glitter Gal are now more readily available in the US thanks to llarowe and in New Zealand. Check out polishqueennz on Trade Me.
This Glitter Gal in particular puts me in a Christmasy mood... lets count this as my first Christmas post of the season!
Well they got that right...it's not another red alright! This is one red I love. More coral tinged and very flattering. Drool! Holo gooodness. I applied 3 coats...I'm a three coater habitually.
In other news...I can't wait to see the new names the Glitter Gals get.

Misa: Wishes and Stress
I'm not good with stress. When I get stressed I tend to shut down...do nothing, hide my head in the sand. Which of course makes everything worse. It's a vicious cycle I tell you.
This time of year is crazy for me. I have two weeks to finish writing all my reports.. and these are no ordinary reports. I tell you these reports are madness. They are termed 'learning journals' and include a page of comments for reading, writing and maths... they include copies of tests and samples of students work... a page for each of the topics we have done this year... a page for PE... a page for key competencies... and a general summary page for general comments, attendance and such. By page I mean A4 size. That's at least 7 pages I have to type up for each child, not including all the tests and samples of work I need to copy. Yeah, so I have actually been adding to these learning journals through out the year...but it's still a lot of work that I need to get done.
Then my house is a mess. Mum wants me to design a brouchure for her. I'm really worried about our finances for Christmas. My class are being really naughty at the moment. I just found out I have to move classrooms next year. Education outside the classroom week is coming up. I still have quite a lot of testing to do on the kids before the end of year, but can't seem to get anything done in class as they keep playing up every time I try to get some testing done.
Wow! That's a lot of stresses...good thing I have some gorgeous spring toned polishes from the Misa Wishes collection.
Ever since I irst laid eyes on swatches of the Misa Wishes collection I wanted them. I drooled. I googled...I had no idea how to purchase these pretty polishes. Then I found http://www.nailsupplies.us/
They sell Misa polishes! I was able to get my hands on the Wishes collection at long last. I only ordered four from the collection in the end... but I love the four I ordered.
All four polishes are such pretty pastels. Shimmery and delicate...and of course perfect for Spring. There's still a bit of Spring left...bring on Summer!

Nubar Polka Dots
I've wanted a black glitter polish for awhile. So when I saw that Nubar had a black glitter and a white glitter polish I snapped them both up pretty quickly on ebay. You know just in case someone else found about them and bought them before I'd paid off my credit card.
I really love the Nubar glitters as a rule and these two are no exception.
Why did I wear Black Polka Dot for Halloween? i found the black to be slightly thinner than the white and it needed two coats for a decent coverage of glitter... but black glitter? Awesome!
This looks like snow! White Polka Dot is so pretty and I only used one coat. I really want to try this one over some dark colours...but it does look insanely pretty over blue and green tones.
The polka dots are well worth purchasing. I didn't have a glitter like either in my collection so these were welcome additions.

Color Club: Backstage Pass
I had to go to the dentist yesterday for a filling. I'm still feeling sorry for myself... The fact I had to go to the dentist, that I had to have an injection, I had to spend so much money... So here's some cheery glitter to make me feel better. Unfortunately I'm not really into some of this collection... But the ones I love make up for the ones I'm not so keen on.
So here we have Color Clubs Backstage Pass collection.
I'm really not feeling Its a Hit... I just don't like the large hex glitter. It's too large and they look like they're curling. Not a look I'll be wearing.
Wish Upon a Rock Star is my favourite...tied with Take the Stage. Wish Upon a Rock Star is a gorgeous mix of coloured glitter with larger hex glitter in a pretty pale purpley colour. Unique compared to all the Happy Birthday dupes.
Backstage Pass is another that I just don't like. The hex glitter is too big and it's hard to apply. This one has large silver and large fuchsia glitter. There seems to be some small glitter...but good luck finding it!
Platinum Record is another I like...but it's not terribly unique. Varying sizes of silver glitter... still it is pretty.
Fame and Fortune is the only one that I see being worn as a stand alone polish. Whilst it can be layered it can also be built up to be worn alone. This was two coats. I quite like the squishy jelly look with broken glass shards of glitter.
Take the Stage is my tied favourite with Wish Upon a Rock Star. It may look like just another gold glitter, but if you look closely you'll see the broken glass shards. Pretty.
So I like 4 out of 6 of these polishes...and I've actually been wearing these polishes a lot lately. I'm loving glitters layered over anything at the moment. Everything must be glitterfied!
So here we have Color Clubs Backstage Pass collection.
